New Release 2015-09-01 Chad Mathews

 

On September 1, 2015, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office along with the 18th West Judicial Drug Task Force assisted Probation/Parole Office in making contact with a Chad Mathews, 37 of Mt Ida that had not been reporting to his parole officer. Upon arrival of the residence, Probation/Parole Officer Frank Gibson saw a pipe laying on the table thru the window. While searching the residence Sheriff David White located a small tin with marijuana residue next to the pipe. Also, during the search officers also located a set of scales, syringes and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Drug Task Force Officer Mike May collected and photographed all the items.

While the search was going on officers were notified that Mr. Mathews had just drove by the residence. Officers notified their departments to be on the lookout for the subject. Moments later Drug Task Force Officer Jeremy Lea and Forrest Service LEO Chris Johnson made contact with the subject not far from his residence. Mr. Mathews was placed under arrest. During the search of the vehicle, two syringes were located along with other items. Mr. Mathews was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
