On September 11, 2016, Sheriff David White made contact with a vehicle parked on Hwy 298 west of Story. Vehicle was occupied by 2 male subjects identified as Jamie Finley, 39 and Helmuth Szombathy, 46 both of Hot Springs. Both subjects had suspended driver’s license and were both out on parole with a search waiver on file. Officers with the Arkansas Game and Fish and the 18th West Judicial Drug Task Force were close by to assist with the search of the vehicle. During the search, a black case was located with baggies of crystal like substance inside along with a pipe. Several other baggies were also found inside the car. Both subjects were transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and where they were charged with Possession of a Schedule II and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $40,000 for each individual. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty.
