On September 6, 2016, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in Black Springs regarding a female subject that had multiple stab wounds and laceration to the throat. Upon arrival, officers located the victim that had been attacked. She was able to give officers a name of a suspect. Victim was transported to nearby hospital and is in stable condition. No arrests have been made at this time. Investigation is still on going at this time by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, and the 18th West Judicial Drug Task Force. They have collected several articles of evidence and are piecing the investigation together at this time. Sheriff White expects for charges to be filed with shortly.
