New Release 2016-07-13 Daniel Freeman

 

On July 4, 2016, US Forest Service LEO Jake Raines and Deputy Cody Gaston made a routine traffic stop in the area of Albert Pike Recreation Area. Deputy Gaston spoke with the driver identified as Daniel Freeman, 30 of Texarkana. Mr. Freeman was placed under arrest for Driving on Suspended License, while searching Mr. Freeman a pipe was located in his shorts pocket. While Deputy Gaston was speaking with the driver, Forest Service LEO Jake Raines asked the rest of the passengers to step out of the vehicle. While patting down another occupant of the car John Williams, 50 of Texarkana, Officer Raines located a clear bag with crystal substance in it. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Freeman was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and bond was set at $2500. He was also wanted out of Bowie Co Texas. Mr. Williams was charged with Possession of Schedule II and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia bond was set at $5000.
